Description:

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or other related degree and at least one years of Human Resources experience.
  • Must be familiar with employment laws, state and federal.
  • Strong PC skill required.
  • PHR certification required within one year of assuming position.
  • Certifications such as SPHR, GPHR, (CA certifications), CEBS, IPMA CP, IPMA CS, etc. are acceptable.
  • RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist with recruitment processes, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and scheduling interviews.
  • Support onboarding and orientation programs for new employees.
  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS and other systems.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
  • Assist in administering employee benefits programs and leave management.
  • Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives and activities.
  • Coordinate employee events and activities with the Employee Recreation Committee.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Participate in HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the HR field.
  • PHYSICAL and MENTAL ABILITIES:
  • Incumbent must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time with ability to reach, bend and move up/down. Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds of files or equipment. The position requires the ability to concentrate on assigned tasks and the ability to manage time effectively in order to meet production and quality objectives. Incumbent must be able to operate office equipment including computers (keyboard and touch) and calculators. Incumbent must be able to clearly communicate on the telephone and face to face, including the ability to ask questions that will bring forth the information needed to make sound decisions.
  • OTHER ASPECTS OF THE JOB:
  • Coordinates activities with various levels of management, insures strong communication at all levels, ensures confidentiality of all Human Resources records.

Compensation: Salary range from $57,112 to $70,840 depending on experience
